Mushrooms in the garden 101
Learn about introducing edible mushrooms into your garden spaces.
Participants will learn how to inoculate their garden beds with mushroom spawn, and how to
create a space and environment suitable for mushroom cultivation.
We will outline the steps on how to go from a mushroom mycelium culture to a inoculated and
ready bag of sawdust. We will then demonstrate how to take the myceliated sawdust and
inoculate a garden bed and wood chips.
We will also discuss how to care for, and what to expect from your newly inoculated garden
space. Addition information on various species suitable for garden spaces will also be
discussed.
Participants will receive 1 inoculated sawdust spawn bag, and take home instructions from what we discussed in class
